10.5 Cancel Culture

Perhaps the most important document that makes America great is the Bill of Rights and the greatest right in the Bill of Rights is the right to free speech.  Free speech is under attack in the United States.  People who say things that the left doesn't want to hear are often threatened and sometimes lose their jobs.  There favorite way to get people in trouble is to accuse them of hate speech.  There are a group of leftists who actively try and find fault in the most innocent things including childrens books.  They convinced Suess Enterprises to stop publishing 6 Dr. Suess books for ridiculous reason such as the Chinese being drawn with lines for eyes.  They'll find racism in books where there is no racism and sometimes they get children's books banned.  The culture we live in, in which this happens is called the Cancel Culture.

Douglas Murray is a very courageous Englishman who has spoken out about the threat of massive Islamic immigration to Europe and as a result regularly receives death threats.  In the video below he speaks about the threat of Cancel Culture to America.

Former Miss Michigan, Kathy Zhu  lost her crown because of her conservative views and for her opposition to Islamic laws that oppress women.  She talks about this on a show called America's Newsroom.

Rowan Dean, an Australian TV host and writer, tells us about Savannah, a daughter of a policeman.  Her Dad was shot when responding to a domestic dispute.  Savannah expressed her pain and became the target of online hate from Black Lives Matter.  Rowan speaks about that and about Jessica Whitaker who was shot because she said "All Lives Matter".

Alan Dershowitz is a famous lawyer who taught at Harvard.  Dershowitz is a democrat who helped  Trump when when Democrats wanted to get Trump for encouraging people to protest at the capitol.   For doing that Dershowitz says he was "cancelled by my local library, community center and synagogue. Old friends refused to speak to me and threatened others who did. My wife, who disagreed with my decision to defend Trump, was also ostracized. There were physical threats to my safety."

In the United States if you criticize blacks or Muslims there is a good chance you will be canceled.  What would happen if you criticized a black Muslim? What would happen if you criticized important and powerful Democrats?
